Full IP protection for 12 new machine projects
We secured technical documentation against leakage at Tech-Zbyt. We implemented a system of encrypted backups and trained staff on secure file transfer rules.
Tech-Zbyt is a family company from Częstochowa that builds machines for heavy industry. Their greatest treasure is the technical drawings the team has worked on for the last 3 years. We helped them ensure this data never falls into the wrong hands.
The challenge
At Tech-Zbyt, engineers were sending large design files via regular email. Twice it happened that a confidential drawing accidentally reached the wrong supplier's inbox. The company also had no backup other than the drives in laptops. If one computer failed, work from the last 4 months would be lost forever. The owner was afraid that technology, instead of helping, was becoming a ticking time bomb.
Our approach
We sent our 3-person team to see how everything looked on-site. For the first 4 days, we just watched how employees exchanged information. It turned out that the system must be simple because engineers don't have time for complicated passwords. We operate stably and predictably, so instead of a major revolution, we proposed simple steps that everyone would understand.
The solution
We set up a local server in the office to which only authorized persons have access. All data is encrypted, meaning that even if a disk is stolen, no one can read anything from it. We set up an automatic backup that makes a copy of changes every 3 hours. Now your data stays with you and nowhere else. Additionally, we configured a secure tunnel for employees who need to check something on the production hall via tablet.
Results
Today, 12 key machine projects are safe under a digital lock. Employees no longer have to remember to make copies because everything happens automatically. Facts instead of promises – the company passed a security check from its main recipient from Germany without any comments.

"Initially, I thought all these safeguards would only slow us down. It turned out that Innovation Embassy set it up so that we actually don't feel the difference in work, and our heads are calmer about the projects."
